David John Lettau appeals the judgment of sentence imposed following his conviction of Forgery and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, 18 Pa. C.S. §§ 4101(a)(3), 3925 (respectively). Lettau contends that the trial court erred in overruling his objection and denying his motion for mistrial based upon the prosecutor’s repeated reference to Lettau’s pre-arrest silence during direct examination of the investigating officer and later on Lettau’s cross-examination. Lettau contends that the Commonwealth’s references were calculated to suggest that he refused to cooperate with the police investigation of his case and in so doing implicitly admitted his guilt of the crimes charged. Upon review, we find Lettau’s assertions meritorious. Accordingly, we vacate his judgment of sentence.

David Lettau is an honest man who is dedicated to God. He is a kind, trusting soul, who was used by people. I'm not surprised that he didn't realize it was a bad idea to trust anyone with cashing of a check; of which he had no monetary gain to begin with so why would he of all people be put on trial here? Trooper Fagley cannot assume that someone not calling him back is by any means justifiable ingnorance or impedence. Pastor Lettau is extremely busy and often his answering machine is full and doesn't record.

Whoa there Anonymous - you better get your facts straight. Pastor Lettau assisted a man who asked him to help him cash a check. He did so in good faith. The man who asked Lettau to cash the check was the one who committed the crime, not Pastor Lettau.
As for your other allegations, Pastor Lettau has never been charged with child molestation. And where do you come off saying he has been charged with terrorism? Your allegations are false and they are slanderous and defamatory. You could find yourself up on charges. It is people like you who spread lies that cause other people like Pastor Lettau problems.
As for the number of times he has been married, how do you suppose that reflects upon whether or not he is honest?
Pastor David Lettau is the victim of a con man who has gotten away with his crime (so far) and left a innocent man holding the bag.
Do yourself a favor - stop spreading your slanderous remarks about this fine man of God.
I have known this "man" for a long time and he is anything but a man of god. He is a liar and evil. He should be in prison,

The truth is that those who are the real criminals will be held to answer for their crimes.
David Lettau is a mentally disturbed man who needs removed from society and lock in an institution where he might get the help he needs. Anyone who refuses to believe that he is a criminal just do the research. He has assaulted women, made false reports to police, held women against their will, claimed to be a police officer and has been living off of the system instead of working. He uses God as a front. He is not a man of God. Everywhere he goes he gets run out by the people of the community. Was so glad when he left here. He did nothing but cause trouble. The word is he's somewhere in Clarion County stirring up trouble there. The last I heard of Lettau he's back in jail.
google david lettau and you will find this......proof that he was charged with terrorisim, which as far as i'm concerned is just the same as terroristic threats. And impersonating a police officer!?!

Phony cop jailed for pointing BB gun
A man who belonged to a volunteer law enforcement group was sentenced last week to one to three months in the Mercer County Jail for pointing a BB gun at two women and claiming he was a police officer.
David John Lettau, 46, of West Sunbury, Butler County, was convicted of two counts of making terroristic threats and one count of impersonating a police officer. State police arrested Lettau in March after he walked into the Mercer County mobile home he shared with Bridget Parasca and pointed a BB gun at her and another woman who was helping Parasca move.
Lettau was a member of the State Police of Crawford and Erie Counties, which provided traffic and crowd control, and has been disbanded.

yeah that's a story from a while back when lettau was living with some girl in mercer county. He was married at the time too. Lettau has done a lot more since then.
He assaulted a neighbor woman in Clarion County. From what I read in the paper he punched her in the face when she told him to get off of her property. I've been doing a lot of research on this guy and he's a con man.
He was tossed out of the Youth Bible Ranch in Worthington.

It appears that he assaulted a police officer in Clarion County somewhere and was arrested. Since he was on probation at the time he went to jail. I guess there's a lot of hype coming from the Lettau crowd that they are bad cops. I like how Lettau always tries to shift the blame to others.
Nonetheless, Lettau is a low life piece of trash who suffers from a severe mental illness. Glad I no longer live near him.
Very interesting how people can post comments that defame the character of another in this manner. Of them the Proverb speaks truly: A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart.

Apparently people witnessed the police beating this guy up and tasered him in the genitals. Guess some people working late unloading stuff at Dollar general may have seen it.
